📍 Where are you located?
Our weekly gatherings are on MSU’s campus at the ADUC Theatre. Our downtown office and ministry space is located at 129 E. Main St.. We are located on the second floor of the C. Roger Lewis Building. There is parking available behind the building, right off Maggard Place. We are located in the suite with the green door.
🕰️ When do you meet?
We meet every Sunday at 6:00 PM for our weekly gathering. Our gatherings include a time of engaging worship, relevant teaching, real community, and partaking of communion. We meet on MSU’s campus at the ADUC Theatre (205 E. Second St.).
👶 What about kids?
Kids are welcome and included! Our Sunday night gatherings are family-friendly. We do offer a separate children’s class for preschool through elementary age during teaching time.
🧍♂️ Do I have to dress a certain way?
Nope. Come as you are—jeans, shorts, sweats, whatever. Most of us are casual and comfortable. We care more about real people than polished appearances.
🧠 What kind of teaching can I expect?
We teach from the Bible in a clear, conversational way, and we’re always looking to connect truth to everyday life. Whether you’re brand new to church or you’ve been following Jesus for years, you’ll feel like you belong.
🙌 What’s your worship style?
Currently our gatherings are small, so our worship is simple and Christ-centered, led by a small team. Think acoustic, heartfelt, and rooted in Scripture.
🤝 How can I get involved?
There are a few easy ways to jump in:
- Join us on Sunday nights for community and Scripture
- Follow us on social media for updates and encouragement
- Reach out if you’d like to talk, pray, or serve with us
- Come help with campus and community outreach as we launch.
📖 What does “independent Christian Church” mean?
It means we’re part of a movement of churches committed to biblical teaching and authority, unity in Christ, local leadership, and sharing the gospel with others. We’re not tied to a denomination, but we work together with others who share a heart for the gospel.
💬 What if I still have questions?
We’d love to chat. You can message us on Instagram or Facebook, or send us an email. No question is too small or awkward.

❤️ Final Thought
We started Foothills to be a church for real people—for college students, young families, and anyone looking for hope and purpose in Eastern Kentucky. You don’t need to have it all together. Just come curious and open.
