SOAR: Foothills Campus Ministry

College is one of the most influential seasons of life. The friendships you build, the habits you form, and the decisions you make during these years can shape your future for decades to come.

That’s why reaching college students is a central part of our mission at Foothills Christian Church.

SOAR is the campus ministry of Foothills Christian Church, serving students at Morehead State University. The name comes from Isaiah 40:31:

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles…”

SOAR isn’t a separate organization that happens to partner with a church. It is an expression of Foothills’ mission to make disciples and reach the next generation.

A Church for the Campus

Foothills is not a church exclusively for college students, nor are we simply a church that happens to have a campus ministry.

We are a church for the campus.

We believe the university is one of the most strategic mission fields in our community. Every year, students arrive from across Kentucky, the nation, and around the world. During their time at MSU, they are making decisions about faith, relationships, purpose, and their future.

Our desire is to help students encounter Jesus, discover their place in God’s Kingdom, and become disciple-makers who impact others both on campus and wherever God leads them after graduation.
